A new build can be challenging with few garden features and, often, poor conditions for good plant growth. However, the blank canvas can also be an opportunity to get creative with exciting ideas and additions.

The contemporary look of this finished garden arises from the choice of good quality paving materials and the repetition of grasses and ornamental eucalyptus.

The diagonal path joins the two terraces and opens up the space, giving a greater feeling of width.

Poor soil conditions and a relatively small budget meant we needed to be creative with planting pockets, using edging products to raise the planting areas and plenty of new improved soil.
